pope Trump

Posted by chicagoMotorman on Sun May 4 15:09:14 2025

As much as I favor President Trump, the depiction of dressed as the Pope is wrong. And even tough I am not Catholic, I recognize that is an insult to their religion, and is uncouth and classless.

Olog to call me a RINO , in 5 4 3 2 1.

Don't give 3 shits. No one is blowing up anything over the meme. And Trump as pope would be an infinite improvement and the most christrian thing in that church.

The church and the pope is a joke.
Even scholars are saying they shouldn't take any popes from Europe, there's no future or life there. They need to look elsewhere.

I don't know what party you belong to. I don't think I've ever even thought to refer to you as a RINO, which is becoming a tautology anyhow due to how many left-wingers are in that party nowadays.

I don't know of any Catholics that are insulted by Trump doing that. My own Catholic mother was not; she found it to be the opposite. You know what's uncouth and classless?—presuming what Catholics find offensive and trying to stereotype them in that fashion.

You're kidding right? Being a serial adulterer and thrice divorced would not be an "infinite improvement" over whomever wins the papacy.

You gave a werid reply claiming that since Trump has been divorced and is an adulterer, therefore the church and all it's people are better.
There is no such relationship that says because Trump is this or that, therefore entity or person B is definately whatever you are claiming.

Therefore:

Trump as pope would be an infinite improvement and the most Christian thing in that church.

FYI, in the middle ages bishops had lots of kids.

here is a list of Popes that were NOT Cardinals

Pope Urban IV — 1261-1264
Pope Gregory X — 1271-1276
Pope Celestine V — 1294-1294
Pope Clement V — 1305-1314
Pope Urban V — 1362-1370
Pope Urban VI — 1378-1389

So, Trump has a slim chance.

That's the way lots of Catholics see things as well. And no, they do not believe that the papal conclave is suddenly going to throw Trump's hat in the ring for pontiff; seeing as he is a married man (albeit via divorce) and not an extant member of the clergy never mind the church itself, it would be absurd anyhow.

The pope and representation was cheapened already.

And in my opinion, if the pundits are correct and it is not fake news, the method for choosing another pope is very very similar to how they decide what to look for in a homecoming king and queen at a unveristy. It is becoming more in line with demographics, race, and geography.
