The only alternative to Boeing these days, and here they are going to pieces.JetBlue's transatlantic routes have narrow-body Airbus A321s on them. If I ever take a vacation this year, might have to reconsider using them. |

FOD dissipated from the aircraft itself."FOD dissipating from aircraft, especially if it dissipates itself, is disadvantageous to flight operations anyone can see that. By the way, as an aside, FOD is an afterthought in civilian aviation as compared to the military, at least with respect to USAF and Navy air. You can eat off the airfield or carrier deck but walk around the ramp at Newark or O'Hare or LAX or wherever... not so much. |

So many of them flying transatlantic now; so funny how things have reverted to narrow-body planes on those routes, although they have less cargo space than the Boeing 707 and Douglas DC-8. Aer Lingus uses A321neo LR (long-range) planes to/from JFK (some flights), BDL, EWR, PHL, CLE and even YYZ now. |

United had some issues with wheels falling off.- LuchAAA (c. 2024) So what? They can put those things back on really fast all you need to do is watch F1® or the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, LLC race cars that get a new set of "wheels" AND a fuel top-off in like 5 seconds. The Navy on the other hand, does this... again. Same equipment and same boat that had another incident last month with the same result. Fly Air Force or Don't Fly At All |
