he stupidly intended to pull the fire alarm while knowing there wasn't a fire.

if this was a republican, you'd immediately be calling for them to be expelled, so cut the shit.

He was caught pulling the lever.

What crime is that? It all depends on other factors, like state of mind, intent, etc.

You're confusing me with someone else.

I've never suggested that a member of Congress be expelled unless they have demonstrably committed a felony.

Right now I have no idea whether he committed a felony or not. Demonstrate that to me and I will agree he should go.

"You or your teenager could be charged with the crime of disorderly conduct or disturbing the peace, which can result in fines and even jail time, depending on the circumstances. If you or your child was over the age of 18 when you pulled a false fire alarm, the consequences can be even more severe.Oct 29, 2021"

Of course to obstruct government is another charge

Yes, there can.

However, no one here wants to demonstrate evidence for any felony that Bowman might have committed. The evidence may be there but everyone here is sure being quiet about it.

In NY, felony charges may warrant if the action results in a certain amount of monetary damage. If this false alarm cost D.C. a certain amount of cash he may be in trouble.

Bowman is alleged to have been a school principle.

Schools are to have fire periodic fire drills.

Schools have Fire Alarms, Most have the WORD "FIRE" boldly on the.

There was NO FIRE!

He knew there was NO FIRE!

Photos show he was NOT LOOKING AT THE DOORS!

However, Bowman spent ten years as a school principal in a state that

requires 12 fire alarm drills per school year. Bowman’s office

similarly issued a statement claiming he did not know he would trigger

the fire alarm by pulling it.

I don’t think they are. Pulling a fire alarm when there’s no emergency or a reasonable belief that there’s an emergency is obvious, but there’s probably other things that he could be charged with, not to mention that the basic false alarm isn’t a felony that I know of.

Many people here are saying Bowman should be expelled.

I don't think expulsion is appropriate for a misdemeanor, though I do think it's appropriate for a felony.

So, do you assert that Bowman committed a felony? And if so, what is your evidence?

PS. Maybe there is evidence that he committed a felony. I don't claim there isn't. But no one here is sharing any of that hypothetical evidence.

Also, was a vote actually disrupted? The alarm was only triggered in that House Office Building and not in the others or in The Capitol where the vote actually took place.
