As a disinterested spectator, here's my take:-- If the Dodgers rally to win the NLCS, no matter who wins the ALCS, the WS will be a rematch of the Dodgers and an AL team that they played in the Series within the last 5 years (Houston 2017, Boston 2018) -- If the Braves go on to win, it would be a brand-new matchup (the Braves never played the Red Sox in the Series, even when they were both in Boston (probably due to the fact that the Braves only went twice while in Boston (the "Miracle Braves of 1914 who upset the Philadelphia Athletics, then lost to the Indians in 1948 (which was the last time that Cleveland won a WS))). And of course, the Braves and the Astros were in the same league until recently (I don't know if they ever met in the NLCS or NLDS) |
