If wokeism were ever put on trial, michelle depass would have to be exhibit #1. Michelle is the head of the Portland schools. The Portland schools chose an evergreen tree 🌲 as it's Mascotte. Ms. depass has delayed a vote on the matter because she thinks evergreen trees evoke images of lynching.
Now I have not studied lynching extensively, but I would be surprised to learn of one lynching using a evergreen tree. The structure of an evergreen tree seems unsuitable for the.purpose even if one was intent on doing a lynching.
More importantly, it seems that with the lack of meaningful education happening in this country, perhaps this is not the most important issue to be decided by a school board.
