I am not saying that people aren't dying and there is nothing to be concerned about, ut what is the point in talking about it non-stop even when there is nothing new to report. Whenever I put on the mainstream media which I have now given up on except to hear the weather, it takes about six seconds until you hear something related to the virus. I suppose there is no other news to report on except an occasional fire, murder, or train shoving it wild fire?Keeping everyone afraid only depresses and angers people causing many rippling side effects. And this idea of keeping everyone afraid didn't start with the coronavirus. The media has a history of this type of sensationalism, How many times have there been predictions of downpours and massive flooding only to have only clowds and drizzle. Then they find one street corner in the metro area with six inches of water and the reporter is sent there to report, or the one street that received two inches of snow when a snow storm was predicted all over the area? They report on every single hit and run, pedestrian or bicycle death, so you should be afraid to leave your house and think all drivers are murderers. Every time a cop shoots a black person, it is news. Then after three days, when they couldn't find a new incident to report on, they dug up one from ten years ago just to keep the idea in the news that cops are bad. The media has their own agenda. What they don't tell you is often more important than what they do tell you. I remember in NYC in the 70s, every day there was a story about a teacher being assaulted. Then you never heard of another teacher assault. I supposed it just suddenly stopped and today there are no teacher assaults because we never hear of any. |

They are doing a good job.And by news blackout I mean there is no covering in the mainstream media of the actual challenges being made. Just read the first line of every link you posted. Most all, rather than just stating the facts, start with bashing Trump, "As Trump continues to push falsehoods..." "Legal challenges won't stand up in court" . One that states a fact is that time is running out. The others are opinions disguised as news. |
