OMG, now we have to look for statues of Austin Corbin to tear down.

Anyone know any?

Weren't they supposed to rename Corbin Place? I thought the decision was to rename the street after Margaret Corbin and put up full name signs to make it clear that she was the namesake and not Austin.

Austin Corbin was a notorious anti-Semite. One in a long, long line.

That's a good way of dealing with it! My wife just mentioned that they have to change the name of Leesburg, VA. I said they should just rededicate it to Pinky Lee.

I'll worry about that after they rename Ford Motors. Henry Ford was head and shoulders above most of the famous Anti-Semites.

Nice, but Leesburg is named after Thomas Lee, and other than his being a DWM,* he's not a problematic figure.

Hitler read the Dearborn Independent.

Henry Ford II was a friend to Israel.

IMO the younger Ford helped rehabilitate the family name.

Edsel Ford was supposed to have father's legacy/worked to counter his father's legacy.

As his reward they named a car for him.

Considering how reviled it was, maybe not really a reward?

Damn shame it came out in the year of my birth (well technically, probably the fall before, but I was on the way)
