How does this confirm some sinister conspiracy, though?

How good is Nashville's contact tracing?

On June 30th, it may have been easier to track Covid cases back to nursing homes because the nursing homes reported them. Similarly, hospitals asked Covid positives where they worked and reported them. The Covid tracers received these reports. They did not do any work to assign the "source" for these cases.

How much deeper did the Covid tracers go? Somebody may have contracted the disease in at work. How did the Coronavirus get there? The contact tracers are supposed to prod every close contact (at work) to get a diagnostic test and follow through to make sure they got one. Did they? The contact tracers are supposed to interview each positive case to determine their movements. Did they? The movement data is supposed to be collated to find common locations where a spread occurred. Was the data collated?

There are formulas to determine how many contact tracers are required. Even Fox in Tennessee noted their importance in preventing Covid's spread. Tennessee needed about 2,000 contact tracers; they had only 700, at the time of the June 30th email.

How effective are Tennessee's understaffed contact tracers? Most states report the number of contact tracers, how many people were tracked, how many needed to be tracked, etc. Tennessee provides no such information.

The original email was dated Jun 30th. That was just before Davidson County experienced a serious surge in Covid cases.

If you are looking for a conspiracy, inquire about Tennessee's contact tracing. That's the defense against Covid's containment, once it's discovered. It did not contain Nashville's surge after June 30th. Why didn't it? Why is Tennessee not releasing its tracking data?

I don't know. But it wouldn't surprise me as I've seen city councils actually fabricate numbers in thin air to justify ignoring Trump and reopening against his guidelines.

Both sides are major league assholes as they say.
