Fine. There are no double blind studies that say that masks reduce transmission. But it's obvious that they ought to work, and the reasoning why they might work is also obvious.

???

I'm suggesting wearing a mask.

If you disagree, you should say why.

I do it because it's required, but the truth is it really is not based on science. The Dutch and Denmark are correct on this

It's required because it works. If the virus is spread by speaking, coughing, sneezing, or singing, and the mask keeps the droplets from other people it's OBVIOUS that it's keeping others from contracting the disease. Now I could have said "oh please" like you usually do but I figured I'd explain my reasons.

Wtf?
Produce evidence that wearing a mask Won't stop potential viruses from spreading via saliva.
How did COVID spread so quickly?

Also, how is it that much of the resurgence is happening in States that happen to be Conservative leaning, TRUMP supportering death carriers?

I know there's mixed feelings, but... yes for me. First, it's a lawful order by our governor, and I'll follow the guidelines that come from the CDC/medical professionals

first reason is debatable

second reason is, usually, useless.

i go with how my own body "tells" me i'm doing. not what an "expert" thinks.

tbe biggest ripoffs around are those rapid health joints.

I was doing it when the governor and medical professionals were saying there was no known value, namely starting 3/16. It was so obvious that it was likely to help.

I looked at the CDC website out of curiosity of why they would say the opposite of what mask wearing countries said.
I only saw two things.

A) You're too stupid to know how to wear it
B) save them and donate them to doctors because they need masks that don't work.

At that point, the twitter agreed with me. If they said save the masks because we're short and doctors needed it, that's one thing. instead they lied to our face.
CDC is wrong daily anyway. Now the numbers of youngster transmissions are way off.

I remember too which was very early, and I think at least part of it was about people buying up supplies of the masks needed by medical professionals. However, once they changed to advising people to use face coverings, they've remained consistent about it.

I still haven't heard anything about gloves. But I now have a new lifelong habit.
Wear gloves when you air up your tires at a gas station. I saved myself an entire days worth of washing grime off of my hands. I'm never doing that bareback ever again.

I actually suspect certain people, some Democrats, some Republicans, and some not overtly political, of saying "A mask won't help" when they were thinking "If we tell people that masks help, everyone will hoard them, and then our medical personnel won't be able to get enough, and that will be a total public health catastrophe."

pardon my spanish, but bullshit.

Even if every single fact given by the CDC has been wrong.

CNN has an article on its website today. The daily 21 year old with organ failure saying, "I didn't know it could be so bad. I'm young. take it seriously!".
WHere do you reckon this myth comes from?
