Men’s Warehouse Declares Bankruptcy

No tears shed by me. I had an awful shopping experience at the downtown Manhattan store some years back. Talk about a hard sell - I walked in there to buy one suit as my mother in law had given me a $100 gift certificate. Two salesmen were all over me like white on rice, pushing everything in the store - from Panama hats to bathing suits to flowered shirts to cuff links. I had to make it clear several times that I only wanted one suit. When they finally sold me one, it was way overpriced and it didn’t even wear well. Within 6 months it was worn out.

It was a nice suit but the hard sell left such a bad taste in my mouth, I never went back.

With all the business casual, dress down, and WFH, there is not much demand for that business anymore.
