As badly as NYC is reverting, and some of it is due to Jan 1 state parole laws, Chicago is about 5 times worse. (Syracuse, NY is also having multiple shootings almost nightly). CTA RED line is a no-go place to be. Police have just put out an community alert advisory about robberies in Loop, Near North, Lincoln Park. It is not just a South Side or West Side problem as it was 10 years ago. My VENTRA card will expire long before I will ever get back there again. |
