Well here is a good place for a LION to put in his two cents, though it might not be even worth that much.

These are piddle-ass riots and not like the rip-snorters that burned through Watts. A few trash barrels set on fire, a few windows broken, and some goods looted. And the shopkeepers are covered by insurance anyway.

But people have been 'locked-down' for two months, many without an income but with the same creditors seeking payment. The unjust murder of George Floyd was the spark that ignited this powder keg, and I am surprised and gratified that it has gotten no worse than this.

It is now time for some PRIDE and I do not really care what color it is. In is now time to be a man (or lady) and put the shit behind us.
Rebuild our lives and our city. IT is the best one that their is, so lets be a part of it!

You don't think it would be a very quick deterrent? I personally think looting would completely stop.

I saw a video last night, unlike anything I've ever seen outside of a 3rd world country. A slowly moving train of double stacks where the containers were opened and looters throwing whatever was inside to accomplices on the street. Happened in Chicago.
