Ventilators don't cure you.

They supply oxygen to the body, when unassisted lungs cannot. This buys time for the patient's body to overcome the virus. This works in a reported 20% to 50% of the cases.

I got something about salt, but I didn't research what your arguement is. So, why'd she turn to salt? A guest came through (I think to warn Lot if I remember) and had dinner in the house. He asked for salt. The Wife retorted what do you need salt for, what alien custom is this? she was inflexible and set in her ways.

Almost all have dead battery backup that need recharging.

The 2000+ ventilators have not yet been shipped.

We do know the failures of the defective ventilators that have been shipped.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Saturday the state had received 170 broken ventilators from the federal government.
The Department of Health and Human Services told the Times that the issues with some of the deployed ventilators were limited to their external batteries and that federal officials were quick to help the states with technical issues.


"Some" does not equal "almost all."


There were also defective ventilators shipped to New York.

Northwell Health, New York's largest healthcare provider, received more than 100 ventilators from the stockpile, some of which were missing hoses that pump air into patients' lungs, according to Terry Lynam, the health system's chief public-relations officer. Others lacked stands that prop up the machines, he said.

Northwell is in contact with the manufacturer to get more hoses but can operate the ventilators without the stands, Lynam said in an email....

NewYork-Presbyterian, a network of 13 hospitals and medical centers in and around the city, received 300 ventilators from the stockpile last week. All of them were missing parts or had damaged parts, such as bacterial filters, the network of tubing that connects the ventilator to an intubated patient, or oxygen hoses. That's according to a person with direct knowledge of NewYork-Presbyterian's situation.

"Bacterial filters," and "oxygen hoses" are not considered part of the battery backup supply.
