A friend who is an ER nurse at Columbia Presbyterian in Washington Heights says they're getting slammed with severe coronavirus cases, too. He says almost every adult bed in the ER is a COVID-19 rule out. Numerous intubations. |

Eggs are available only because high prices brands like Vital sells slowly at $6 dozen. |

Fresh chicken is slowly rebounding, it all but disappeared the last few weeks. Beef has always been plentiful, as well as pork, lamb, seafood and veal. Plenty of frozen whatever and lots of ice cream. Eggs are a bit low, but there’s plenty of local eggs (only slightly more costly than commercial) to make up for gaps in the commercial supply. I guess they get paper goods then they're gone. I just see empty shelves. Got all that stuff last month thankfully before panic happened. |
