Posted by JayZeeBMT on Thu Dec 5 15:12:22 2019 Another NYPD cop, this one from the Transit Bureau, has come forward to detail arrest quotas in the department.From the article: "Asian, Jewish and white people — known as “soft targets” — were not to be slapped in cuffs. All cops in that district were to fill a collar quota, but black and Hispanic officers who didn’t meet expectations were treated more harshly by then-Commanding Officer Constantin Tsachas" The emphasis was on arresting people of color, the now-retired cop and four other officers said in court documents. Tell us something we don't already know. |

I lived in NYC most of my life. That's why I've always known that structural racism is part and parcel of the criminal justice system. These lawsuits are just documentation of this.Of course, you're just fine with that, since you are not a targeted minority. |
