Lots of people changed their handles. Spider Pig a good example. Terrapin Station, and many others. Most do the change, and just post with the new one from then on. they aren't interacting with eachother.
While I have been using the GP38/R42 Chris handle since at sunchat, I used to used R42 Chris for a short while too as I wanted a more "subway" oriented one at the time, but was GP38 Chris at Subtalk before that too (GP38's are the locomotives the LIRR used to run), and people didn't know me, so combined the two ultimately. I was also some other handle when I first signed up at Subtalk back in 1998 or 1999, but don't even remember what I started as.

But that all said, I was never trying to "hide", I just wanted a change, and actually the last change 15 years ago or so, was because I WANTED people to know who I was, and the "R42 Chris" was confusing people.

So there are MANY reasons people change handles, and there's nothing wrong with that.

So what? Many of the regulars here changed over the years, and MANY times some of them.
Why is everything ulterior motives with you? I just posted why I did change a few times and actually, it's the total opposite reasons of what you are just assuming.

It's sad to always see the glass half empty.

I think he is wrong here, and called out on it. If I was comparing about a Democrat who did this, I would be called "partisan". Now I am disagreeing with a Republican, and have "RDS". How can that be when overall I agree with him?
