I've never been to DiFara but the general consensus is that it is an overrated place with numerous health code violations. But I admire his successful formula of attracting hoards of gullible hipsters to his filthy place.No such thing as the 'best pizza' anywhere. It truly is a matter of taste. My favorite pizzeria is GoodFellas on Hylan Blvd & Seaview Avenue on Staten Island. Second favorite is the 'pizza with fresh mozzarella' at Pronto Pizza on New Dorp Lane & Clawson Street also on S.I. |

DiFara used quality imported ingredients.It was very high quality but old man needed to let kids take over years ago. The health violation was stupid. They had folding chairs to accommodate long waits. They inspector came on a slow weekday when folding chairs were in back kitchen which is violation. They cleaned up other issues. |

Nothing beats L&B Spumoni Gardens Sicilian. And to me second place goes to Gabby's on Hillside and Francis Lewis Blvd which was featured on Rachel Rae.I don't know if it's still there but Napoli's in Brownsville at the c/o Livonia & Rockaway (what a neighborhood!!) had really great pizza. |

By 1967 ENY was a violent slum. Incredible story of rapid decline and a massive increase in crime. |

Those water parks are a problem too. I've always heard bad things about them. Some kind of a parasite that's difficult to eliminate. Water Parks apparently draw too many from the lower end of the economic scale who spoil it for everyone else. |
