I thought that the deal was they get to stay in Mexico while the application is processed.

Of course, the law allows the applications to be rejected after hearing.

It's a horror. Biden "IS" past his peak, and the others "are" too radical.
It seems all we have from either side are extremists. And the Democrats were upset with Bush II. Even Obama and pelosi look centrist after the current bunch of Democrats. It's nuts.

It was not at all horrible from the onset.

It would be easier to get it done properly if it weren't sabotaged, like with the abolition of the individual mandate. Or by setting a mandate that was actually more of a realistic penalty.

Not in that article, they don't. Not that I've seen anywhere else, either.

I drove through various border checkpoints when Obama was president. I had to represent to the CBP officer that I was a legal resident of the United States. If I had not, they wouldn't have said, oh thanks anyway, have a good day.

It's possible that some of the current candidates would do away with the Border Patrol. But I don't think Harris and Buttigieg are among them. Sanders, I could believe.

Executive orders that are contrary to the law of the United States of America, as many of Trump's orders are, don't count.

Executive orders that are found lawful do count. What order are you referring to?

I may be mistaken about that. Still he's building walls, increasing security, sending people back,...his change is stronger enforcement of existing laws. That said Obama was a very strong supporter of existing law, so it's not as much of a change as made out to be.

Remember also that US law, as passed by Congress, says that if you request asylum you can't just be driven to the border. That's what Trump didn't bother to get fixed in 2017-18.

All 20 Dems raised their hand to provide illegal immigrants with taxpayer-provided healthcare at the debate, so AFAIK all are radical.

Remember, they couldn't even figure out how to provide all Americans with taxpayer-provided healthcare, not to mention the homeless problem in liberal strongholds. But somehow giving illegals healthcare is totally possible and fiscally responsible, right?

Californians did deliberately exacerbate the homeless problem however it was unintentional. Our majority thought that legalizing drugs and making theft a ticketed crime would lead to fairness and prosperity.
