(And instead of shooting the movie in Sparta MS, they shot in Sparta IL.)And that reminds me of Smokey and the Bandit, where some people apparently were claiming that Jackie Gleason (from Brooklyn) couldn't pull off a Southern lawman either. (Rod Steiger was born in Westhampton, Long Island. O'Connor was born in Manhattan and raised in Forest Hills.) |
