A genuine giant of his craft. His epic tale of WWII is an unforgettable masterwork. The two TV miniseries scarcely did his volumes justice.

Wow, 103. I knew he was old - his book The Winds of War came out in 1971.

He also wrote Marjorie Morningstar, doomed to be made into a typical coming-of-age movie. Work was a cultural traditionalist, and his books reflected it.

The two TV miniseries scarcely did his volumes justice.

Wouk was the screen writer for both TV miniseries.

The power of his words in both his books eclipses anything the small screen could portray.
