Seriously, you don't know?

The House of Rothschild was, at one time, one of the most powerful banking institutions in Europe. It was, of course, founded by a Jewish family named Rothschild. The House of Rothschild later became the target for anti-Semites like Hitler to prove to the world that Jews controlled all of the world's businesses and money, et al. The old story.

Given Mel's history of anti-Semitism, do you think he should be involved in this project?

Jack Alexander Huston played a Jew recently in a film.
So did Morgan Freeman (who also played an Irish guy in an older more classic movie).
Nicholas Cage, and the other dude.
And countless other trash shows and films I won't even try to remember.
Didn't they want a black guy to play Sinatra? I forget the movie. But, like gender, race is fluid.

And honestly look at the article title and by-line:

Mel Gibson casting in Rothchild comedy sparks outrage

News of the film, set among the New York super-rich, attracts criticism in wake of the actor’s previous antisemitism controversies

Like this won't be anti-semitic garbage that isn't worth watching?

On a side note, my Rabbi said that people are always asking him if he's seen some show on netflix. It has a yiddish name I can't remember, but it's about Chassidic Jews.
I bet that he is right that it's probably not even worth the time and probably casts them in a negative light.
He mentioned some other older one where the writers even got their names wrong.

Although there is no shortage of Jewish actors who would have problems making themselves a lame unlikable characterture. I'll pass. Mel Gibson doing it is a blessing. Maybe Talib can play his wife.

Shoot. last line is that the actors would have NO problem. Not that they would have a problem.

How is any of this relevant? Was Morgan Freeman ever accused of making anti-Irish statements? Did Jack Alexander Hamilton make anti-Semitic statements?

Here is the bottom line. Mel Gibson should not be involved in ANY project in which Jews are characters, ESPECIALLY when the Jewish characters have money.

Is that hard to understand?

So who should we have instead, Arianne Grande play the title role instead of Mel Gibson?

The second (ignored half) is relevant. The description of the show itself looks anti-Semitic, and I am tired of garbage from self-hating Jews on television that make the people look nothing like a bunch of jokes. All I get is lame versions of Seinfeld and Woody Allen (and those two are at least funny). Do I need another "comedy" or comic strip teaching everyone else how terrible being Jewish is from people who don't even know what they're going on about? It doesn't make them cool.
I don't do The Goldbergs. I don't need to watch shows based off of the Goldman's in The Family Guy. And although I'm always if I'm seen it, I read the description of Mrs. Mabel and decided not to watch it although I like the 40's.

So, Back to your main point. I only know of one incident with Gibson being anti-semitic off the top of my head (ignoring that movie he funded and did).
Therefore, I'd rather have Mel Gibson star in a show where he shows us how terrible, greedy, or leftist the Jews are than to have Larry David and Sarah Silverman do it instead. Gibson would be a win, the latter is another loss. Let's not have more self-hating Jews put on such things.
Along with that other garbage on Netflix. Keep that stuff in Israel where they all seem into it.

And one more addition. Yesterday in a search engine I found out there's a really repulsive character in a cable television show where they switched the real guys name (who is extremely well known), and changed it to my fathers name but reversed one letter.

Yeah, that's good. That's doing us all favors. I wish Mel would've played him instead.

No wonder everyone is all into and fascinated by chicks in head scarfs. At least they're not going on television being self-depreciating in such a scummy manner.

Is Seth Macfarlane worse than Mel Gibson

I love The Orville, but...

Seth MacFarlane, it seems, is simply a wittier version of Mel Gibson.

I read that article, but I have to say that Seth MacFarlane makes fun of everybody equally. The Irish, the Asians, the blacks, the Italians, the Jews, the gays, it's all satirical.

Making fun of Bin Ladan doing outtakes on a video tape isn't exactly mocking Muslims whatsoever. That might be the absolute safest, non-offensive, thing you can do.

I always said that about South Park.

But I stopped watching both shows. However, this article goes way beyond satire and into full on personal flaming racism.
