It sounds like the author got tired of the daily grind of making it in NYC and wanted to move to a different kind of place with lots to offer but where life was easier. It's a lot different than NYC though, so it's unfair and maybe dishonest to say that he moved because of taxes, or trash, or rodents. |

It's kind of a main board topic because it seems his main grievance is the poor subway service.His wife called with excitement from the UWS. Would she be as excited in Miami or Atlanta? She'd be in a car, not walking around. NYC has that energy level like few others. NYC is for young people. They outgrow it and realize life is not like portrayed on some iconic pop culture show(you all can think of them). |

If he was single he might enjoy the UES scene, instead of the women available in Texas, where he'd realize after a few nights out, that he misses NYC. |
