Mueller previously attested that Manafort provided a Russian with voter information.It would not be unexpected for that to be just one aspect of a broader collusion. Evidently it wasn't (or if it was, Manafort covered it up well enough). There was smoke but no detectable fire. Mueller didn't clear Trump on obstruction, for the obvious reason that many things Trump said in public could be construed as obstruction. Basically Barr is telling Congress and the public, you already knew pretty much everything that Mueller knew. So why was Trump going on and on about a witch hunt anyway? |
