This will probably be my last post on this I arrive in New York tomorrow. I will be at Sarges Deli 548 3rd Ave, 6pm Thursday April 11.



So far BILLBKLYN, Spider-Pig, mtk52983, and maybe Bill Newkirk said they will attend. I would be more than delighted to have more of you join us.

I appreciate the invitation - I would if I could but I can't so I won't. Logistically difficult as I am a couple hours north and am scheduled to begin yet another Reserve Assignment at 121000Z(Universal Time Coordinated) APR 19 so I need to rest the night before. If recent history is any indication I will probably be called out shortly thereafter to haul freight from the Newark Terminal. I only wish Train Dude, JayZeeBMT, and bingbong show up and realize what all of us know to be truth and that is said individuals are good and decent people all.

If you are making a reservation just e-mail me what name it is under. It looks like if I get off at Woodside and transfer to the 7 I can save a few minutes versus going all the way to Penn Station and walking (so maybe 6:20 versus 6:30).

I can meet you more like 6:30 at Sarge's on Thursday. This is going to come out terrible, but since I have never actually met you before can you just e-mail that day some info on what you look like or something to identify you so I don't go from table to table asking if they are chicagomotorman.

Hopefully he will not follow my lead and wear that ridiculously oversized SubChat button with the relief of the 190th Street - Overlook Terrace and 110th Street - Cathedral Parkway stations on the West Side - 7th Ave Local like I did at both KTPA (LuchAAA) and KLAS (JayZeeBMT and Railman 718) none of who or whom ever showed up. Who did show up? A couple Delta pilots at McCarran walked by me, smirked, and said, and I am quoting here, nice button. I was going to go after them but thought better of it. The other time an entire All Nippon flight crew, looking every bit like Geishas, looked at me in an otherwise empty terminal and began giggling as they passed me by. When All Nippon flight crews laugh at you, well, you pretty much have hit bottom.
