There is already too much out there pointing squarely at the campaign and the Russians.However, I don't think the Mueller investigation is what Trump truly has to fear. It's limited in its reach, and can be buried by the AG if Trump so orders. The SDNY and local New York cases being built against Trump's lieutenants and his campaign, are likely to be far more damaging. Trump can't kill a local case, like he can with a federal one, nor can he dangle pardons on the state level, like he almost certainly did with Manafort. |
