It's McConnell's turn to get something through the Senate now. The two bills won't agree, so then it goes to a House/Senate conference to work out something both sides can pass. This is how it's worked for 225 years. |

Some of those "bulshit social programs" cost less in the long run. Our tax dollars fund the hospitalization of those who do not have health insurance (by choice or otherwise). The problem is those without health insurance either use hospitals for everything or they wait until it gets really bad. If everybody had access to yearly physicals without expense, a lot of the expenses of hospitalization could be avoided and we would reduce the strain on Emergency Rooms for non-emergent cases. If someone is found to be pre-Diabetic in a blood test, diet/exercise can change that. The person without insurance won't be seen until they show up in the ER needing amputations. What costs less to the public, one blood test or a surgical procedure? |

No, I don't mean his surname, we had a president named "Hussein" after all. I mean his first name. I'd get sick of pronouncing it that way for four years or more. He should just call himself "Jewel-ian" already. And it's not a matter of it being a Spanish name. If his name were the similar "Julio," I'd have no problem with it because the Spanish way is the natural way of pronouncing that name. |
