First of all,this shutdown should not have happen d. Secondly, he would be better off and possibly would have gotten his money had he taken any of the number of previous offers, such as the wall-DACA compromise from not that long ago. He isn't going to get it as a budget line without a serious compromise on his part. Then he still hasn't noticed the serious environmental issues involved in the environmental impact of such a thing, which is the next hurdle that nobody's recognizing save a few.Add to that the fact that a wall will NOTresolve anything WRTimmigration or evenstemthe flow of illegal drugs, which typically arrive within legitimate shipments of legitimate goods and thus require different technologies to detect as opposed to a 5th century concept of security which we know isn't going to work. And if the fable is for real, the whole wall thing was a mental exercise to ensure the bumbling fool would remember to mention immigration on the campaign trail. It wasn't meant to be a thing, so why throw money away on it? That money could be used to expand resources to process these asylum claims and mitigate a lot of the human suffering trumps intransigence has created. |

Individual airlines are directly responsible for airliner safety & flightworthiness. If an airline allows thousands of passengers to travel millions of miles, on millions of $$$ worth of aircraft, millions of $$$ in liabilities not to mention the safety of their own employees, you can be sure that their planes are at the best possible condition that they could possibly be in regardless of the FAA. |
