Facts are facts. We haven't seen prices like 5hat since. My recollection is there was a oil glut by 2010, and depressed prices for most of the Obama Administration.

Obama, Carter, Clinton, Bush, Trump, it makes no difference,

Blaming a sitting president for the high price of motor fuel is a kin to blaming a weather forecaster when it rains or snows.

When they enact policy that interferes with the market, it does make a difference. Fact is, trump has done exactly that.

The oil glut came about through two factors, first being the bush economic collapse's effects. That goes without being said. That it wasn't eliminated speaks to the last decade's rise of alternative fuels small scale and large power generation switching to natural gas, which remains cheap and plentiful. It’s such a near completed change trump's looking to FORCE power generators to retrofit their plant to burn coal. That's simply not happening. And it's no "security issue" as the gas is domestic source.

The solar industry now employs more people at high paying (non college required) jobs than coal did. Sadly, trump wants to destroy this.
