Fontana, long time drummer for Elvis. He was with Elvis when he made his first appearance with Ed Sullivan in 1956. That show was seen by 60 million people. He died Wednesday in a Nashville hospital. He was 87 |

RIP.I saw him sometime during the late 70s or early 80s at Jonathan Swift's, a club in Cambridge, which was down the block from Harvard Sq. Did anybody else see him live? |
