If you have a CDL and knwo how to drive an 18-wheeler, you can get hired out driving big rigs in the Permian basin and make $100,000/year. Read a story about it last week. Google to find it.

I'm not offended at all.
Do these stats include people that suffered a catastrophe like a flood or fire? Do they include people that had their home seized because of a default?
What about the shelter folks. They are in shelters for a myriad of reasons especially families.
I would appreciate a clearer definition of what homeless is.

Such people would move out to the suburbs anyhow and wouldn't allow themselves to be homeless.

The actual homeless are in those categories you mention, although some would lump alcoholism in with drug addiction.
