Do they actually get hurt?And the word "fake" could properly refer to the pretense that it's not scripted. If there's a basketball game in a movie, you know that it will turn out the way the writers intended it to turn out. That's not fake; it's scripted. But if there's an actual game on TV which is partially scripted (i.e., rigged) but viewers haven't been told it's been rigged, than "fake" is a proper word. So it comes down to whether viewers of wrestling have been adequately informed that it is scripted. |
