Obama threw close to a trillion dollars into the economy through the stimulus programs and the Fed dropped rates to near zero. Given that institutional money flows into wherever it gets the best risk-adjusted return - and with rates so low, it wasn't going to be in fixed income assets - it's no surprise the stock market jumped so fast. Trump didn't have close to the same juice pumped into the market, Fred. It's comparing apples with watermelons. |
