What I find funny is you and bill both use the same playbook... use stereotypes, then when called out on your hypocrisy and your poor attempts at justifying your use of it then you run back into the shaodws. “you dont me... but I can totally judge the left as a whole”

You just come off even more retarded

The cities with the highest property taxes in the country and highest net outflow of population in the united states is going to raise property taxes because of the new tax plan?

News flash. They're raising it still anyway. Maybe the only people that will be left in Chicago, city #1 for this, will just be thugs. It oculd be like that movie escape from new york! but less civilized.

California property taxes are limited to 1% by Prop 13, so that’s relatively uncommon here.

So then this is mainly about corporate tax cuts, government spending and healthcare.

Important stuff to be sure, but the corporate tax cuts probably will likely be reversed in the near future. Hopefully healthcare will come back better than before.

It’s the same thing that happened when Reagan was president. They touted lower rates but they took away so many deductions that everybody’s taxes went up.

Yep. So you admit the purpose is to rob the high tax states through a form of double taxation. That's why the property tax deduction has been around since 1913. You're fine with it, but can't stand it for millionaires paying Estate tax. Typical right winged nut.

California Republicans added ihe flexibility of state income taxes.
As much as NY/NJ has high property taxes, California has caps on them, so they get them on income taxes.

Not a typo. Due to the increased standard deduction, the ranges shifted. So someone who was once in the very bottom of the 25% range, is now at the very top of the 12% range.

You fail to understand the mandate concept came along in the early 1990's by the CONSERVATIVE Heritage Foundation to prevent free-loading.

You can help pay for someone's generic Metoformin now or pay for someone else's feet amputation in 10 years for undiagnosed diabetes.

That's why we have mandatory auto insurance - to prevent free-loading.

Expanding the pool lowers rates. My non-Obamacare premiums only went up 2% for 2018. Prior to Obamacare, they would go up 8%-10% a year. The last few year, only 4-5%

That is not liberalism - that is Actuarial Math. That is how all insurance works. But today's so-called conservatives can't stand science, so math skills are next to go out the door at what has become the more UNeducated political party of the two.

Conservative MD's like Paul and Barasso in Congress at best got 2 semesters of Calculus for biology and medical school. That is about 10% of the way to understanding actuarial science

I never bothered itemizing deductions anyway (other than student loan interest, which is still around anyway). Even adding up my charitable contributions and sales tax from purchasing a new-ish car, it didn't bring me above the standard deduction, so there was no point in itemizing.

You're right, I stand corrected. In 2017 the bottom of the 25% bracket is an AGI of $37,950. Under the 2018 brackets, an AGI of $37,950 would put him near the top of the 12% bracket.

LOL. I keep pointing out that while your post is no doubt correct concerning you as a renter, it is your generalization to most people in your income range that is incorrect.

People who do not itemize in 2017 will just about all do better in 2018.

People who do itemize in 2017 are very likely to roughly break even at best, even if their real estate plus income taxes don't exceed 10K.
