Net neutrality is the idea that the Internet is a common carrier and should be protected from corporate control of content and availability. I don’t know where this more government control comes from. |

Actually, it was the govt, universities, and just a few corporations that laid the foundation for the Internet. The rules and structures were expanded upon to make it what it is today. So please stop saying the govt is/will ruin it, because it was a chief player in creating it in the first place. |

The internet wasn’t terrible back in 2015 without it and whether we have it or not, I don’t see my daily life being any different.Because watchdogs convinced the govt to nip the problem in the bud. You use any streaming services, like Netflix? Well, Netflix was one of the services negatively impacted until net neutrality was codified. What I do think is that a large portion of our government, especially in California, increasingly believes that it needs to protect us. They pass laws that have unintended consequences, things get worse Guess what, the creation of something revolutionary like the Internet also had unintended consequences. Up until 2015, net neutrality was a given, one of the big selling points of the Internet. The telecoms' actions then showed that it was no longer a given. That without regulation, telecoms would do whatever they want, including squeezing out competition to services they were also providing. |

I was never really afraid of Ebola because the "incompetent" govt competently handled the problem. Gun violence: well, the pols have to show they are doing/saying something about the mass shootings being reported in the news. I mean, guys going into schools to blow away kids is a pretty big deal. |

One other thing: it wasn't the govt who was spreading fear about Ebola. It was pundits and the like who were doing that. The govt was actually trying to do the opposite, calming people down. |

You actually mean "ADJUDICATED", don't you?As for your latest version of "the sky is falling" the current net neutrality law is less than 3 years old. We did fine before it. Sub chat pre-existed the law. This is just more of your insane belief that YOU need more government in your pathetic life. The obama era is gone. Get over it. |
