They are closing the Erie plant (locomotive manufacturing) and are trying to sell the new Ft. Worth plant. GE has been hurting for a few years now. |

Don,t tax cuts create jobs? ge is among the first n line for those, yunno.Yes, I'm aware that they're losing in these markets as demand shrivels. siemens is laying off 6700ish in their electric distribution divison, as the technology is changing. Same thing applies in coal, truly writ large. But trumpers don't do reality. |

As for the tax cuts' effect on GE, the company doesn't do these things on a lark. The effect of the tax cuts would be included in their calculations. |

Same as coal, which we should NOT be subsidizing with tax dollars, its a dead technology. We need to spur investment that will work for the future. That's no erroneous picture. Funding coal is. Stop lying. |

It may appear that the rates are higher here than in other countries, but the writeoffs here are monumental, and that isn't the case in other countries. They could get their lower rate through eliminating many of the writeoffs that now exist. The republcan thing does none of that. It cuts taxes with the lives of citizens. |
