That's why I don't do it.

But putting national socialists and "white supremacists" on the right instead of the left (where they are and where they belong) is the "big lie" false statement. Don't forget that the KKK was at its heights of power under Woodrow Wilson, a self-admitted socialist (left wing) and their biggest patron.

It certainly is true of KKK and White Supremacist being on the left if this the 1940's...
The fact is before JFK LBJ and started by FDR. The rural South was Democrat. They were in every way conservative and al for small gov't and preserving their way of (racist segregationist) life of course supported by the KKK, White Supremacists etc etc. The Republicans were the party of the urban North. The situation is obviously reversed today just look at elections maps from then and now. The whole south and north didn't magically change their beliefs. The parties did.

After FDR and hjs new deal pockets of progressive democrats popped up here and there in the south and north believing a lot of what democrats today believe. It grew slowly but surely. JFK won presidency (suported by MLK and most all civil.rights figures) and LBJ took over passed the Civil Rights Act a democrat. The democrats became oberwhelmibgly conservaticve and the Republicans became overwhelmingly conservative supporting the likes of Goldwater from back in those days. They adopted the 'Southern Strategy' to attract those southern former democrats that got ledt out in the cold when democrats when progressive and that strategy worked really well.

The democrats became progressive encouraging immigration, civil rights, gay rights, etc etc. Do KKK and White Supremacist really want those things? There's a reason David Duke and his band of racist supported Trump celebrated when he won and organized a 'Unite the Right' rally. Like I said look elections maps from then and now look at the party platforms from.then and now tells the story you are leaving out.

I would like to have think Donald Trump would have won over Bernie, but I think a lot of people did not vote for Hillary because they hated her guts and they knew she was a snake in the grass lawyer with a trail of bodies behind her. Donald Trump is doing some stunt every single week and it still wasn't enough to get him to lose

He won because approximately 75,000 stupid people live in the right place to throw an election.

They were told they would get their old jobs back.

The have not. None of the industries trump promised to revive have.

In contrast, Hillary promised economic support and a path to new careers for displaced workers, in fields that are growing their demand.

Now with the Chinese seeking to ban gasoline fueled cars for indiviuals with the next decade, we can add oil to those industries.

Very True. My best analogy Trump is like that kid running for school president promising if he/she wins they will have pizza parties for lunch everyday.

Your reasoning is correct but another factor does seem to be Hillary Clinton just isn't likable to many.

Yes there is. It's, first, based on hate and contempt for "others". It is divisive ( just look at the state of this nation for a glaring example).

We are all on this stone ball together. Air and water do not know what boundaries are. We must figure out how to get past divisiveness in order to survive as a species, lest we poison, drown or starve ourselves.

Time to lose these manmade conventions, they are harming us. Nationalism serves no purpose.

Nationalism is not about hate. It's about taking care of your own people first. There's no such thing as a world with no borders. We are all tribalists. It's just a natural basic human nature.

IAWTP. Bernie Sanders's campaign was based on government freebies and "if we fix the underlying social issues the problem with _____ will go away." Not to mention the little foreign policy he came out with was batsh*t crazy. For all of chicagomotorman's bluster about any disagreement with Israel meaning you advocate for Israel's national suicide, Bernie Sanders was surrounding himself with people who actually did want Israel wiped off the map.
