Unfortunately, there are 6 whites for every Black in this country, and the crime statistics show they are about even for some crimes, and actually worse for others.

(I couldn't find more recent than 2011, if you have more recent that shows different OFFICIAL stats, let me know)

Blacks account for only 12% of the population....and whites 72%....so there are 6 whites to every black. Blacks are much more likely as a percentage to commit crime. Some of those stats are almost the same even though whites outnumber 6 to 1 in population! Murder for example is both about the same....yet whites outnumberblacks 6 to 1!!! Robbery is even 10000 more on the Black side and they are 1/6 the amounts of whites!!!
This FBI own stats!

But why do blacks get higher sentences for the exact same crimes as whites?

iagwtp. There's plemty of data that points to this fact and other discriminatory practices that many ppl willingly ignore. The fact of the matter most ppl want other's sit down and shut up about it I'm proud of the fact that he didn't in his own way.

Overall the viewing audience is ok with accused murders, drug addicts, ppl accused of demestic volience, players who ran ppl down while drunk driving and fans find a way to forgive or look past thise issues. But sit down for a national anthem cue the hatr and the death threats. Backwards

That's not what I said. Whites do too. But the stats show more Blacks do, and especially as a percentage of population.
For example, Blacks and Whites seem to commit murder at equal levels, as an amount. But when you consider that Blacks are outnumbered by Whies 6X to 1, that means that you are 6 times more likely to be murdered by a Black person than a white person.

Hair in New York City, the opposite is true most of the time. The jails are so full that when a black person commits a crime that's not a violent felony, chances are they'll be back on the street the next day or the day after that. And then when it comes time for sentencing, some deal would usually reached with Rikers for a few months, and going Upstate as a last resort

What is the point of protesting besides gaining publicity? Protests that go unnoticed don't work.

This protest did get noticed and it cost him the big paycheck.

Also sports endorsements and maybe his mug on the box of Wheaties.

Other players probably felt the same way as he did but didn't want to jeopardize their careers.

Long story short. Keep your mouth shut and controversial displays to yourself, cash the paycheck and live like a king.

BINGO! The fact of the matter is Colin Kaep isn't the player he used to be. If a QB like Russell Wilson or Cam Newtown (not saying it's something they should or shouldn't do or agree with just making a point) made the same stand and was a free agent. teams would still be lining up to sign em.Bc or of their current high level of play things like this suddenly become overlooked.

That may be true but owners have to be mindful of how the rest of the team reacts as well as the fans. The owners need to watch the bottom line. Kaepernick should have understood his marketability deficit.
