Bravo, Colin Kaepernick

Posted by R2ChinaTown on Tue Mar 21 07:59:43 2017

Clearly a man of principle who stood up (Actually Sat down) in the face of millions of irate patriotic football fans and refused to salute the flag of our nation. You did it to call attention to injustice in our land and now you suffer the greatest injustice of all. You are unemployed, your great talents ignored, wasted. Once you Sat and liberals applauded but now you sit but not by choice and now you are no longer of any use to the snowflakes. You wonder of it was worth it. Will those you raised your voice for, step up now and raise their voice for you. Those future millions of dollars seem like a lake on the desert, a mirage. Sit tight, my very talented friend. Those voices will speak for you, another victim of injustice.

He only mattered as a toy for the credulous media. They could report on additional players "taking the knee" and how it was spreading to team after team.

???

I don't agree with his protest, but kneeling during the national anthem is literally the least he could do. People were so aghast they would have been less aghast had he done something violent to protest instead.

I highly doubt it. If he were good enough, someone would have signed him anyway.

Michael Vick was a convicted felon and for something near-universally reviled and yet had a good career comeback with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Cause he said the Flag doesnt represent him? Well statistically he is right, depending on your race or gender or both you can be denied or hindered in terms of education, jobs and more. What is a flag when it doesnt mean the same to everyone? Why cheer and be proud of a system that is not equal for all?

Shall we list the nations that are better than the US in the opportunity? I mean we can start with Nordic countries.

So because we have decent shit we should accept the status quo? Whats wrong for fighting to improve it? Make it better? Its okay to vote for Trump for Making America Great Again but god forbid a black man kneels during the national anthem at a football game because he wants America to be great for everyone and not just White Men and there is suddenly a problem?
