They didn't say it was a list of the worst, among academically important institutions. Which is not to say that Harvard doesn't stifle speech in certain ways - it's just that I wouldn't trust the results just because the list has been made. |

It's just a personal opinion of the CEO. If I boycotted companies because I found their CEO's opinions/actions oppresive, I'd never be able to buy anything.About the only time I allow ideology to dictate my purchasing decisions is to support the local economy. Buy from somewhere in my town > somewhere within NYS > somewhere one state/province away from NYS. So even though I find Coca-Cola tastier, I will buy Pepsi products because they are bottled & headquartered in NY. My craft beer choices are similar. When I am a tourist I try to buy made in [state/country I am visiting]. |

If conservatives can outshine liberals in generating content people want to watch, it doesn't matter. The beauty of Alphabet (Google) quietly discarding "don't be evil" is they're free to ignore the feelings of their liberal employees in the name of profit. Special mention: Reddit - it has already started here too, but only at the extremes on both ends of the spectrum. Remarkable that they even are censoring at all considering it's essentially a *chan without anonymity and with post ranking. |
