Today's gospel

Luke 16:18 Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from [her] husband committeth adultery. So I assume that means that religious Christian caterers won't cater a wedding where either party has previously been divorced, just like they won't cater gay weddings, right? You can't be participating in the celebration of adultery, can you?

Jesus is opposed to fornication and adultery. And he considers a marriage after a divorce to be adultery. He is quite consistent.

Even Irish-Catholic priests love to get in the weekly reference to a popular topic in politics today. Going to church is like watching The Young Turks or NPR Radio.
