I asked why my bike had to be searched, and the security guard told me people have smuggled bombs onto bikes before. I told him that while bike bombs are a thing, car bombs were far more prevalent than bike bombs, and we don't check every car going over the Brooklyn Bridge. He told me I had a good point. |

Car bombers lately seem to want to survive these days, so they leave their bombs parked somewhere. You can't just stop a car on the Brooklyn Bridge and walk away and not expect to get stopped. |
