We just swept those people under the rug except when they appear at the ER and ICU, and we paid for their healthcare at that point out of our premiums in the most expensive way possible, with no regard to preventive care, which is far cheaper. That's why my private health care premiums have gone up only 4% per year since ACA came around. While the deductible increased from $300 to $500, there is now 0% co-pay on my annual physical. My recent Shingles and Flu vaccinations also cost $0 out of pocket. Prevention is cheaper than treatment. The actuaries know what they are doing. The ACA problem affects mostly the 15% of those on ACA who are just above the subsidy line. They should be put on Medicare. |

For 3 of them, I think I am just paying for the bottle or postage, in the $3 - $6 range per 90 days, about 1/4 the price of heading to a brick and mortar drug store.Max out of pocket is around $3,500. Yes it goes up every few years. I know you are looking for a reason to kill Obamacare, but you will not find it with my experience. |

Many generics have gone up in price substantially so I'm surprised yours have gone down. For example, hydroxychloroquine (a generic available for almost two decades) is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. Two years ago 180 pills cost $35. Today it costs $500. I've taken levothyroxine, the generic form of Synthroid, for years. A few years ago a 90 supply used to cost me $10. Now it costs almost $30.Your max out of pocket is only $3,500? WOW! I'm in a BCBS PPO and this year it rose from $6,000 in 2015 to $10,000 in 2016...and our premiums still went up. Are you in a HMO or PPO? |

Epi-pen happened because a CEO was a fucking scumbag, not because of Obamacare. To be expected because Pharmas and insurance companies wrote the law and banned Canadian Rx mail orders. |

As costs balloon, it squeezes the insurance companies, which either squeezes consumers, or forces out the insurance companies. Unfortunately, it's not going to get closed at this rate. |
