Maybe lack of voter turnout leads a poor representative sample of the general electorate. It is down to the sane verses insane. IMO, of the 4 candidates one is insane and disproportionately attracts the uneducated, 3 are not. Take your pick of the 3. |

And again, (although you said you didn't), so many staunch Democrats wanted to vote in the Republican primary, reason being, to pick a candidate that would be bad against whoever they ran. Well, this is what can happen with that theory. And he may or may not be the worst out of the original lot (that is up for debate), but Clinton is by far not a good candidate. I would even call her defective. But I have to say, there would be NO WAY in the world that I would have voted for Bernie, so it's possible Trump would be doing even better if it was Bernie instead of Clinton. She's more centrist that Bernie, and I have an easier time possibly voting for her, her baggage aside. |

Given the enthusiasm of the Millenials, and high degree of his ethics and honesty, I think he'd have beat Trump hands down.Likewise Bush or Kasich would have beaten the shit out of Hillary. Back when the Republicans nominated a smart person for President, he proposed "self-deportation" and the idiots pilloried him. This election has proven the value of elitism over populism.
