Posted by B68 SLOW POKE on Thu Aug 25 19:21:11 2016 How can a municipality dictate a requirement that is not in the law?I know a person that owns a bar in the Bronx. I urged him to get his carry permit. He went down and GOT IT. But the thing was they asked him. WHAT IS YOUR "NEED"...... HELLO ! Need is not in the law on this issue. How can a municipality insert "NEED" into the contract? Is there a lawyer in the house. EXPLAIN. |

Given the various rules and regulations regarding gun possession in NY State why they want to carry a gun. Just saying that he owns a business would not be enough to qualify. That is why they ask why does he need a gun.If his stated "need" does not fall within the parameters set by the State Legislature then they would not give him a permit. |
