And another Communist nation endorses Trump |
|
Posted by SelkirkTMO on Wed Jul 27 17:20:45 2016 Where are all the GOP Ologs? Sold out?North Korea says Trump isn't screwy at all, a wise choice for president North Korea has backed presumptive U.S. Republican nominee Donald Trump, with a propaganda website praising him as "a prescient presidential candidate" who can liberate Americans living under daily fear of nuclear attack by the North. A column carried on Tuesday by DPRK Today, one of the reclusive and dynastic state's mouthpieces, described Trump as a "wise politician" and the right choice for U.S. voters in the Nov. 8 U.S. presidential election. It described his most likely Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, as "thick-headed Hillary" over her proposal to apply the Iran model of wide sanctions to resolve the nuclear weapons issue on the Korean peninsula. Trump instead has told Reuters he was prepared to talk to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to try to stop Pyongyang's nuclear program, and that China should also help solve the problem. North Korea, known officially as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), is under U.N. sanctions over its past nuclear tests. South Korea and the United States say its calls for dialogue are meaningless until it takes steps to end its nuclear ambitions. DPRK Today also said Trump's suggestion that the United States should pull its troops from South Korea until Seoul pays more was the way to achieve Korean unification. "It turns out that Trump is not the rough-talking, screwy, ignorant candidate they say he is, but is actually a wise politician and a prescient presidential candidate," said the column, written by a China-based Korean scholar identified as Han Yong Muk. DPRK Today is among a handful of news sites run by the isolated North, although its content is not always handled by the main state-run media. It said promising to resolve issues on the Korean peninsula through "negotiations and not war" was the best option for America, which it said is "living every minute and second on pins and needles in fear of a nuclear strike" by North Korea. The North has for years called for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from the South as the first step toward peace on the Korean peninsula and demanded Washington sign a peace treaty to replace the truce that ended the 1950-53 Korean War. Its frequently strident rhetoric also often threatens nuclear strikes against South Korea and the United States. (Editing by Tony Munroe and Paul Tait) |

I'd way rather have Clinton negotiate with North Korea than Trump.Trump would think he could handle it all himself. And narcissists aren't usually that good negotiators. Clinton would seek advice and listen to it. |

Is that what you make from what was posted? Let's assume for a second that the "little guy" endorsed Hillary. Would you still draw the same conclusion? I don't think so.What Kim is after is for us to withdraw entirely, let him have his way with South Korea (BTW, he has a hard on for Japan too) and leave the area. He also wants us to foot the bill for his country, and Dennis Rodman. :) |

Clinton would seek advice and listen to it.Whether or not solicited advice is worth hearing or following depends to some extent on who's giving it. Clinton's foreign policy guru is Henry Kissinger. We're less likely to have a shooting war or try to destabilize other governments under Trump. That's not an endorsement. There are other issues that make Trump toxic. |

First, I'm not a Republican.Second, I guess I should have put up <sarcasm> tags. I was spoofing the posters like SMAZ who every time someone suggested that the way we were dealing with ISIS or Iran was mistaken, would respond "Would you rather have WAR?" as though it was a binary choice. To the substance, something needs to be done about Baby Un. A new President has an opportunity to try diplomacy first, but only first. War has to be an option because it may be the only thing Baby Un really fears. I have no fear Trump would give Baby Un the kind of sweetheart deal he got from Jimmy; Hillary I don't think has a clue of what she should do, but I bet it would be whatever Bill says to do. If H becomes President better make sure Bill stays alive and healthy. |

You know FDR was roundly criticized for his "Unconditional Surrender" declaration against the Axis. People said it put in Germany into a corner where they were forced to fight to the last man and teenager. |
