And now this... |
|
Posted by bingbong on Fri May 27 21:24:59 2016 We all know Donald Trump is running for President. However, it turns out he doesn't want to actually *do* the job. Guess someone told him what the job actually is. |

I was talking about this several years back with a friend, and I said, where's the integrity; choosing weak or mediocre individuals like Quale, a heartbeat away; actually talking at one point about Bobby Jindal running for national office, Bush the younger, etc.And my friend replied about the same as you, saying, the Republicans just don't want government |

This guy is just scarey.quote from the article below has been stated so many times in different ways the past few months: "... Trump has no meaningful understanding of public policy or even how government works at a basic level. ... his ignorance and incompetence about affairs of state is unlike anything Americans have ever seen in a major-party presidential candidate" And the people who voted for him, must think that running the presidency is as easy as saying "Your rired." |

No, it's yet another reason to actively work to ensure he does not get elected. The last "delegator" we had was bush, and we all know what happend there. The only he had going for him was that he was adverse to using nukes. The rest is the mess we're still climbing out of. Do we really want to go back to that, this time on unstable steroids? This is the only planet we got. |

The 60s and 80s were probably a step below. The 50s and 2000s were a step below that, and pre-50s and post 2000s music is just garbage IMHO (except for classical). |

I don't trust Trump for one minute to make a lot of good decisions.I do trust that he's not stupid enough to launch a nuclear war unless it was absolutely necessary. However, if Trump wins this election, it's the Democrats fault. They have a golden opportunity to beat potentially the weakest candidate the GOP has fielded in decades and up until this point it seems that they're pissing away that opportunity. There is no way that Sanders should still be in this race. There is no way that the presumptive nominee should have a major scandal coming out at the same time she clinches the nomination. Honestly, if the Democrats continue on their idiotic trajectory Trump will become the next President. |

I don't trust him to male any decisions beyond the content of the complimentary buffet. I do expect if he becomes president (fortunately that's unlikely for a number of reasons that go beyond faked, pumped up scandal) to make wrong choices that bring us to a nuclear ar. As it stands, he said he want to use Trident missles against ISIS! Like on day one. Given each delivers seventy Hioshimas each, I think the case against electing him is closed right there. No need to touch on the xenophobia, misogyny, cluelessnss, lack of comprehension of govenment, economics or the rest of all that. First and foremost we need someone who isn't going to consider, much less discuss or get us into a situation where nuclear weapons could or would be usd. Not blowing up the planet isn't too much to ask for, and trump's a fail at that. |

At this point, people are pretty much tired of trump, having been all over the news for so long he's gotten sale. Most people agree with Bernie about the emails...enough, it wasn't criminal and won't happen again now that new law was passed to prevent it.Fact is trump has not attracted any new voters, has not pullled any Democrats save for maybe an outlier here or there away from the Democratic party, and is basically the candidate of the noisy minority, just a slightly differnt noisy minority than what we're used to. He did get some republicans who never voted in a primary before. That's what boosted the numbers. They are not because of anythng he is characterizing it as. Hillary has so far gotten two million more votes than trump Andthree million more than Snaders. Thing is, people with lives and families want to see the nation do better, they vote for Hillary in their primary and then get on with their lives so we don't see bombastic rallies full of people with nothng better to do. The following is there, they're just living their lives as this continues around them. Less than a third of Americans are registered republicans. So for argument's sake lets say about 28%. Trump won the primaries by roughly 43% plurality on average. That's his base. It isn't growing. As news of the inept campaign plus the candidates own words continu on the trajectory they're on, his following isn't going to grow. It's too soon for most to care about the election, so people brush off any (of the few there are) pollsters with "they're not ready to answer this" right now. It's Memorial day weekend, lets go beach! |

What frightens me about Trump is that he is attracting 1 type of voter that the GOP usually doesn't attract. That type of voter is white, male, blue collar, union workers. That demographic abhors Hillary and while it likes Bernie, it will vote for Trump over Hillary in a general election. |
