DSLR just means digital single lens reflex. Mine is a DSLR, it just doesn't take video.

Buy a DSLR w/video recording.

Why? Most of the RFWs are already gone and I don't really take videos all that often.

So you can take videos, whenever you want, with the same DSLR you have in your hands for photos.

I believe him. My Nikon D50 didn't take video. The early DSLRs didn't.

No, you clearly didn't.

If you had, you would have noticed that I was complaining that new laptops cannot do what I want, but that my old laptop was perfectly functional.

As such, you would not have suggested that I buy a new laptop.

Other than RFW vids, I almost never record any videos at all and I don't particularly want to. Why should I buy a new camera just for a video feature I'll practically never use?
