If so-called "green energy" were viable, it'd be getting all sorts of private investment and no government "loan guarantees" and direct subsidy (the grants) would be needed. |

So he's only got around 1000 times that amount to go before he even starts to touch Dubya's figures for money flushed down the toilet. Obama better work fast if he wants to come close to Dubya's level of waste. And over the past 6 years how much have the fossil fuel companies received in federal largesse? In what way is that money not flushed down the toilet? |

Do private equity groups not lose money on some of their investments while making up for it tenfold in others? Our government's contribution to green energy companies in no different than how private equity operates. You win some and you lose some. Should the Small Business Administration be eliminated because some small businesses who received gov't aid went belly-up? |

It's not blaming, it's comparing. $2.9 billion lost under Obama. A few trillion lost under Dubya. But the way you jerk righties always fall back on "don't blame Dubya for his massive failure" is hilarious. |

They've had congress now for nearly a year and have absolutely nothing to show for it. A continuing fail and so all they have to cheer themselves up in the face of Jeb!, and Trump and the rest of their nonstop fail is picking apart the past because they have nothing of any value happening now. Gotta love it ...So remind them of their past and rut-ro. :) |

They've had congress now for nearly a year and have absolutely nothing to show for it.LOL! Now I know where bingbong gets her ignorance from - is there something in the water where you live that blinds people living there to the facts? Or is it just you two? Let's see what passed last year: 1. The ABLE Act. The "Achieving A Better Life Experience Act" enacted some of the most sweeping changes U.S. policy for people with disabilities since passage of the American with Disabilities Act. 2. Congress unanimously approved legislation allowing TSA to charge only $5.60 per one-way trip and $11.20 per round trip for airport security fees. 3. Passed legislation giving border officers three overtime options. They can work 100 hours per pay period -- about two weeks -- and receive an annual 25 percent pay boost; work 90 hours and receive an annual 12.5 increase; or work no overtime. 4. Passed a $1.1 trillion spending bill 5. Set Pentagon policy for 2015, including authorizing the military to expand operations against ISIL and providing billions for the upgrade of military equipment. 6. Passed 50 tax breaks. 7. Passed four cybersecurity-related bills. 8. Passed the Death in Custody Reporting Act. 9. Set U.S. intelligence policy for the fiscal 2015. 10. Passed the Newborn Screening Saves Lives Reauthorization Act, which reauthorizes a 2007 law and authorizes new federal grants for the screening of potential congenital, genetic, and metabolic disorders in newborn babies. 11. Passed the RELIEVE Act, wherein small bank holding companies with less than $1 billion in assets can now be regulated under the Small Bank Holding Company Statement. 12. Reauthorized a VA program studying traumatic brain injuries. And passed a host of other, less significant bills. This year Congress passed fast-track trade legislation. |
