I think that you and I are coming from the same place. What was once unthinkable is now normal so who's to say what future generations will consider normal? But as far as kids go, that would be hard to imagine. Our legal system protects kids. It would have to essentially be done away with for that to change. A better example might be brothers and sisters marrying. Or mothers and sons. All over 18. Haters will point to studies showing how harmful these relationships are. Just like previous generations did with studies on gay marriage. But in the end, why is it anyone else's business?

History has proven that societies that become too permissive and liberal do not endure.

I would think animals would be quite clear on whether they consent or not.

Well, my cat certainly makes it very clear whether he consents to the food he is being given at a particular meal.

Cats are a perfect example of actions speaking louder than words. :-)

Give me a proven example of such history.

answer the fucking question.

You said "this was all about controlling women."

I asked you, in that relationship, who is controlling who if all three are female?

Also, if they had the opportunity to legally wed, they would probably go for it, what they did was the next best thing.

Seriously, that was very polyphobic of you...

That depends on the relationship's dynamic.
