Only that he would speak in the sanctuary. The synagogue decided to keep the preschool open, so as to not inconvenience the parents if the school was closed, but it was sealed off from the rest of the building for the day for security reasons. The plan, as far as we knew, was that Obama would meet in a small session with some representatives of the Jewish community and the synagogue's rabbi, and then speak to the congregation. |
